The award-winning wuxia epic THE ASSASSIN premieres in Los Angeles Monday Oct. 12, 2015 7:30 pm at The Egyptian Theatre.

Starring Shu Qi, Chang Chen, Zhou Yun, Satoshi Tsumabuki / directed by Hou Hsiao-Hsien

Nie Yinniang (Shu Qi) reunites with her family after a long absence holding a dark secret:  she’s been secretly trained as an assassin.  Upon being reunited, she finds out she is to be married to her cousin (Chang Chen), a governor of the region… who happens to be her next target.  It won Hou Hsiao-Hsien best director at Cannes Film Festival this year.
