Beyond Fest celebrates more kung fu with a double feature of US premieres of HEADSHOT and CALL OF HEROES October 4, 2016. It should be a night of butt-kicking action.

THE RAID’s Iko Uwais stars in this Indonesian Jason Borne-style action flick as an amnesiac who begins to discover his violent past. Also featuring Julie Estelle and Tri Yulisman, aka Hammer Girl and Baseball Bat Man from THE RAID 2.
CALL OF HEROES (2016)
starring Sean Lau, Eddie Peng, Louis Koo, appearance by Wu Jing

A young group of villagers have to stand up to invading marauders. Eddie Peng has been in some really good stuff lately, and I’ve heard good things about this flick, so am looking forward to it. I also enjoyed some of Benny Chan’s previous work, especially BODYGUARDS AND ASSASSINS, so hopefully the story will hold up as well. Looks a bit wirey in the trailer, but the action is done by Sammo Hung, so I still suspect it will be excellent.
